Postnatal check up, assessment & Physiotherapy and osteopathy treatment after pregnancy in London
During pregnancy, a woman’s body goes through a lot of changes and is put under a lot of strain during childbirth. Natural delivery, as well as delivery through C-section, can cause uncomfortable side effects. A lot of women believe that these are inevitable and irreversible and that they have to live with these issues for the rest of their lives. This is a misconception, as there are ways to avoid and/or recover from these issues.
If you are an Axa or Bupa patient, you cannot book online. Please call our office with your authorisation number.
If you cannot find an appointment which suits you or would like a home visit, call us or send us a message: we will do our best to find you a slot.
Prenatal Care will help you prepare for a smoother and less painful delivery. After the delivery, a Postnatal Care course will help you overcome any issues created during or after delivery and to restore your body to the same shape it was before the pregnancy.
Our London postnatal Physiotherapy treatments are designed to treat women that have recently given birth. Rehabilitation can start as early as six weeks after giving birth. It is important to allow this time for your body to recover from the strain of childbirth. Starting the rehabilitation process or any exercise earlier can be dangerous and worsen any issues you might be experiencing.
Excellence Physiotherapy offers a complete Postnatal Rehabilitation course in London, including a comprehensive assessment and treatment of pregnancy related pathologies.
During the initial Postnatal Check-up, our London physiotherapist or osteopath will check the following points:
- Pelvis closure and the lower ribs
- Pubic symphysis
- Pelvic floor muscles
- Abdominal muscles
All our assessments and treatments are carried out by physiotherapists and osteopaths in London, specialised and experienced in women’s health.
