We treat a wide range of rheumatological pathologies, including:

  • Anterior cruciate ligament repair – ACL rehabilitation
  • Total hip replacement rehabilitation
  • Total knee replacement rehabilitation
  • Rotator cuff repair rehabilitation
  • Shoulder, knee and hip arthroscopy rehabilitation
  • Spinal fusion and discectomy rehabilitation

We work very closely with the consultant doctor, ensuring each patient is assessed and treated on an individual basis in order to rehabilitate and regain independence. After an initial home visit in London or an assessment at the practice, where the extent of the problem is evaluated and data from medical reports is gathered, our London based physiotherapist will create an exercise program aiming at specific targets and adapted to the patient’s specific needs.

Physiotherapy treatments offered include:

  • Core stability training
  • Muscles strengthening
  • Functional mobility and transfer practice to ensure a seamless and safe discharge
  • Gait re-education and the use of walking aids
  • Posture analysis and re-education
  • Swelling management and pain management
  • Surgery specific exercise programmes
  • Appliance fitting

Apart from developing and executing the exercise programme, our physiotherapist in London will also educate the patient on their condition so they can self-manage it long term and cope with every day activities. Our physiotherapist in London will also discuss goals with the patient to increase his independence and allow the patient to reach his optimum potential at home, work and in social activities.
