Private Pilates and Private Postnatal Pilates at home in London or at our practice in Moorgate Monument EC3 with our pilates instructor and physiotherapist

pilates-london-excellence-physiotherapyWhy is Pilates and postnatal Pilates at home in London a great form of exercises?

Pilates is becoming a more and more popular form of exercises in London and for good reasons:

  • Pilates is a simple and efficient way to tone your body
  • Pilates improves your overall fitness
  • You can do it even without any equipment other than a mat, therefore you can do it pretty much anywhere and anytime
  • It has low impact so it is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels even after pregnancy
  • It strengthens your pelvic floor muscles and back muscles and it therefore helps maintain a healthy back, rehabilitate from injuries and chronic back pain, reduce pain from scoliosis, fix bad posture, strengthen abdominal muscles even after giving birth and helps treating incontinence

Why Private Pilates classes with our physiotherapist are more efficient than group classes?

Doing Pilates or Postnatal Pilates in group can be fun and nice but if you’re looking for efficient results, our private pilates classes with our physiotherapist are the best you can find in London. Our physio & Pilates instructor will first assess your body, goals and injuries to create a personal Pilates program, will give you exercises and will correct your positions on each movement so you will tone the specific muscles you want to work on without the risk of getting injured as it sometimes can happen during group sessions.

She will then create a specific exercise programme that will help you achieve your personal goals.

Our Postnatal Pilates programme at home in London will be specific to you and the current state of your abdominal and pelvic muscles. Each Pilates exercise will be adapted to you, if you have given birth or if you suffer from back problems. Your personalised Pilates programme will focus on strengthening your core muscles and correcting your posture. The Pilates exercises will be chosen carefully by our London Pilates instructor according to the type of pain you’re experiencing in order to improve your condition on a long term basis and to avoid putting any further strain on body.

We offer Pilates classes at home, within London, so all you need is a mat and enough space on the floor to lie down. Working with a professional Pilates instructor one-on-one will help you achieve your goals faster and safely.

You will start seeing results in no time!

YOU WANT TO SAVE MONEY?! You can share Pilates lessons with one friend from the second session, once your personal assessment is done and share the cost. Just £15 per session for each additional friend.

How do our Pilates sessions in London work?

The goal of Pilates is to help strengthen your entire body, but emphasis is given to the core muscles and breathing. This is achieved by performing gentle and slow movements and keeping postures for an amount of time. Because it has low impact and doesn’t put pressure on joints, it is suitable for pretty much anyone irrespective of age or current fitness level.

It is particularly beneficial to women who have recently given birth and want to gain back to their abdominal and pelvic floor strength, especially if they suffer from diastasis. Strengthening the pelvic muscles will also help rehabilitate any incontinence caused by labour.

It is recommended that new mothers wait for at least 6-8 weeks after giving birth before starting exercising, as starting earlier might cause more harm than good.
